Vintage Stan Ballard Studio Art Pottery Handmade Brown Speckle Long Bowl Vermont

A unique mid-century modern piece of studio art that is a different style from many of the more conservative vases. This is a wonderful glazed pot and is signed S. Ballard, VERMONT 52 on the bottom. This unusual piece of pottery was made by Stanley Ballard of Burlington, Vermont. Stan Ballard (1917-1960) graduated from Alfred University’s highly respected Ceramic Program in 1939, having studied there while these influential teachers were part of the faculty: Marion Fosdick, Charles Harder, Clarence Merritt, and C. Katherine Nelson. The measurements are 10 ½” long, 3” wide and 2-5/8” tall. There are no chips, cracks or crazing. A wonderful piece to add to your collection! I will wrap your item carefully!
