Vintage Polychrome Cochiti Pueblo Indian Pottery Pot with Three Lizards, Cochiti Pueblo, New Mexico. This vintage Native American made bowl is in good condition, no chips, cracks or repairs. It has some imperfections, paint loss, etc., that are typical in vintage pottery. I recently purchased this at an estate sale & I do not know the history of it. As with most pieces of older Native American pottery, it is not signed. This is a Cochiti Pueblo pot with three lizards crawling up the rim. Their heads peek over the edge of the pot. It is handcrafted from red native clay & decorated with mineral paint in cream & black. It is beautifully decorated with classic Cochiti designs between the lizards. The lizards are about 3 1/2″ long with black stripes down their backs. The pot measures 7 5/8″ across and 4 3/8″ high. It weighs 2.5 pounds. This is a stunning Cochiti Pueblo bowl for any vintage Native American pottery collector. It will make an important addition to any pottery collection. Don’t miss out on it. ***Shipping to the lower 48 ONLY. This will be double boxed to prevent damage to the lizards.***
